| Geographical siteParentis is a little town
with 4,684 inhabitants situated in what we call Pays de Born in the area of the great
Landes Lakes.
The town, the chief town of the district, is
equidistant to: the regions capital, Bordeaux, 50 miles to the North; the Prefecture, Mont-de-Marsan, 50 miles to the East; the sub-prefecture, Dax, 50 miles to the South. In the centre of the Landes forest, this town of about 30.000 acres is built close to a lake, the second in Landes (8.500 acres) which gives it its name. |

The situation of Parentis en Born gives to the town the appearance of the crossroads of the Great Lakes area. Three main roads converge towards the town and turn it into a natural road junction leading to the fine sand of |
| Atlantic Ocean beaches, to many lakes rich in flora and fauna and to the vast forest of High Lande. In the heart of Aquitaine, in the Landes department, lies the land of good living, rich in traditions where people were wise enough to refrain from developing it too fast and to preserve and retain the natural charm of the parishes of the district. | ![]() |
