| As they are over 10% of the local
population, our elders find in Parentis en Born many services in relation to their
needs : |
| This public institution offers
67 beds. It is run by 42 employees
To-day the old people’s house shelters and feeds 67 residents whose average age is
87
years. The purchase of a minibus now allows the pensioners to enjoy special outings. Before
they benefit by this equipment, the more independent old people may find simpler means of
relief and effective services dispensed directly at home :

| With this system old people may call for
help ; the town voluntary firemen will give assistance to people in difficulties.

| This service is open from Monday to
Saturday; it prepares meals, which are delivered by a refrigerated vehicle. A
flexible organisation also allows people who are momentarily in difficulties to receive
these meals for some time.
|
| At the moment 20 beds have been put in place
for the use of a group of three towns grouped in a syndicate in order to keep old people
in their homes.
|
| It has been working from 1976 and assembles
pensioners (about 520 people) it offers them many activities such as travel, meals,
choral, bazaars, various tournaments….
